our energies mingle before
I ever touch your lips
beginning to part as I lie
down on top of you slowly
swallowing you whole and alive
bit by bit as a snake would
a mouse until you're inside
my belly and dissolving away
in the morning I spit you out
pieces of bone and cartilage
savoring what little taste
there is left of you then
shower and leave for work
